5 day countdown...

It's crazy to think we are heading into our winter break!  As excited as I am...I'm going to miss seeing these little faces everyday! Not a day goes by that my heart does not smile when I am with them!

With that being said...Our "bags" are packed and passports ready to head around the world and learn about different winter traditions. Our passport says, "This passport certifies that the bearer is a citizen of the world.  He must ALWAYS learn and respect the cultures of others."

We will be introducing them to Mexico, Israel, Spain and Africa and of course we will be here in the U.S. We will use Fiction and Nonfiction text to present the traditions and customs in these places.  Our expectations are that the students will use good reading strategies to help them understand the text being used and to make connections with their own customs and traditions as well as be able to explain those connection in response form. And...along with all of that we hope each little has some FUN!
