Monday

So we are down to 9 short days until the winter holiday!  WOW...we are almost 1/2 way through this school year! I hope you are seeing as much growth in your little as I am...not just academically, but emotionally and behaviorally as well!  I love this group of littles!!!

Super STAR student this week...
And not only is she a super star here at school she was as super start this weekend at her Tae Kwan Do belt exam!  I was so honored and excited to get to see it live and in PERSON!

CUSTOMS and TRADITIONS...

Rachel K's project  WAY TO GO! We all enjoyed seeing how you make the star and noticed that no one has the same menu tradition!  Thank you so much for sharing!!!

Reading...
Today we started learning about the author Marc Brown!  Did you know that the Arthur of 1976 didn't look a lot like the Arthur we know now?  Did you know that Arthur's adventures and problems are based on Marc Brown and his family?

This week we will continue to learn about both the character of Arthur and the author Marc Brown.  We will rotate through the first grade teachers throughout the week!  On Friday, we will have one LAST Arthur story...it requires we be in our jammies with our feel better blankets or friends!

Throughout this unit of study we will continue to use our good reading strategies! Be sure to ask your little to RETELL the story each night!

Today, Mrs. Barcena shared Arthur's Eyes.  Click there to review the book!

Have a wonderful evening!
