Come on DADS

We have opened the calendar for the 2015-2016 Watch D.O.G.S. program at Spears Elementary. WATCH D.O.G.S. (Dads of Great Students) is the father involvement initiative of the National Center for Fathering that organizes fathers and father figures to provide positive male role models for students and to enhance school security. Charley Daniel and Chuck Walker are helping coordinate the Watch D.O.G.S. program for Spears.

Watch D.O.G.S. volunteers spend the day at Spears helping in the classroom, in the cafeteria and at recess with our kids. You’ll work with kids on schoolwork, participate in classroom activities, and provide leadership and be a positive male role model to Spears students. It is a very rewarding day, and your kids will love having you at the school.

Sign up is easy,

1. Run a background check through the FISD website - https://forms.friscoisd.org/sf/background-checks/volunteer

• Required by the district
• Needs to be done each year

2. Use the WatchDOG shirt you have or order a new one at http://dogstore2.fathers.com/cotton-short-sleeve-t-shirt.html

3. Use this link to sign up.  http://www.signupgenius.com/go/20f0d48a4ae29a0f94-spears1
