Wednesday

I guess I say this a lot....BUT...I don't think I've ever enjoyed a class more than I do this one! They are smart, funny, and just plain AMAZING!  Thank you so much for letting me be their teacher.

Today we practiced retelling the story Wemberly Worried, by Kevin Henkes.  You can watch it
HERE.  After you and your little watch ask your little ask you to retell the story.  They will need to think about their retelling rope.
Setting, Characters (talk with your child about which ones are important to the story), problem, beg, mid. and end, and then how it all ends.  Please encourage them to use transition words such as first, next, then, finally!! These not only help retell in order but will be  SO beneficial in their writing as well!

We read for 15 minutes today!  WOW...that is greatness!  About 20 more minutes and we will have reached our GOAL!!!

A lot of my littles have started asking about moving colors!  YES...they want to read MORE...they want to CHALLENGE themselves. I love when they self monitor their learning! Like I said, "UH MAZ ING"!

FIRST IN SHOW

Yesterday...we read Turkey Claus.  Our First in Show said, "I chose it because it looked funny!" and it didn't disappoint!

Today she had a special lunch with Mom and Dad! Yes, you will be photographed...We need to document everything here at school!
Thanks for taking time out today to make it a special one for your little!

INTRODUCING....
Lightning Bolt!  Our class pet is tucked away in his overnight bag...ready for 5 nights in the Ellis household!  He (or she! We decided IT could be whichever) has its favorite blanket, a toothbrush and a journal!)

She is ROCKING this pink cast!  What a trooper...

This will be it for Piggy "Tales" this week!  Spelling words can be found...HERE for week 6!
Have a wonderful weekend. See you all on Tuesday!
