It's Friday

I can't believe how fast this week flew by! And that just means these littles are one week closer to being 2nd graders...I'm not quite sure how I feel about that. Well...I AM sure how I feel the word that comes to mind is CONFLICTED.  You all know how much I love your individual little...but the amount of pride I have in this class is a whole is unprecedented!  I have seen so much growth...academically, emotionally and behaviorally in each and EVERY one!  I hope you all are seeing it as well.

So, with that being said. Next week Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday are CogAT days.  PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE try to have your little here ON TIME, FED and RESTED! We will start the test no later than 8:30 so that we can complete necessary components prior to recess! (And KEEP your fingers, toes and anything else crossed that we can go OUTSIDE)!

This sweet girl joined our class on Tuesday.  Alayah is coming to us from Dallas!
On Monday, we added another Lauren to our class...This precious one comes to Spears from Korea!

They could not have been placed in a more welcoming classroom.  The kids (both girls and boys) have taken it upon themselves to show them the ropes and make sure they know what to do! I am so PROUD of all of my OLD lighting bolts for being such great classroom citizens!

This morning we participated in Huddle!

Stiles was recognized as a student that demonstrates courage!  I think back to the beginning of the year when her writing was always a song and every time she shared she sang those words to all of us!

These two littles were INDUCTED into the Principal's Math Club this morning!  This week they demonstrated the ability to count to 120 by 2s! GREAT JOB!!!

Here is the video of Lightning Bolt's Christmas Adventures!

I hope everyone enjoys this COLD weekend!
